About VCA Certification
What is VCA and why is it important?
VCA (Veiligheid, Gezondheid en Milieu Checklist Aannemers) is a highly valued occupational safety certification system recognised in Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, and other European countries. It is required to work in many sectors involving occupational hazards.
What is the difference between VCA Basic and VOL-VCA?
VCA Basic (B-VCA) is designed for operational employees working in hazardous environments. VOL-VCA is aimed at supervisors and managers who oversee safety on site.
How long is the VCA certificate valid?
Both the VCA Basic and VOL-VCA certificates are valid for 10 years from the date of issue. They are prerequisites for working on projects involving occupational hazards.
Is VCA recognised in other countries?
Yes. VCA is recognised in Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, and various other European countries. It is one of the most widely accepted safety certification systems in the EU.
The Exam
How do I register for the exam?
Contact us by phone, WhatsApp, or email to register. You can also use the registration form on our Contact page. Exams are held in Antwerp, Belgium (Amberes) on scheduled dates.
Where does the exam take place?
The official exam takes place in Antwerp (Amberes), Belgium at our training centre.
Can I take the exam online?
No — the VCA exam must be taken in person at our exam centre in Antwerp. This ensures the integrity of the certification and provides the official face-to-face examination format.
How long does the exam take?
VCA Basic (B-VCA): 75 minutes (70 questions). VOL-VCA: 60 minutes (60 questions). You need to score at least 65% to pass both exams.
What score do I need to pass?
You need to achieve at least 65% to pass. For B-VCA that means a minimum of 45 out of 70 questions correct. For VOL-VCA, at least 65% of the 60 questions.
The Course
What does the course include?
Our training includes an interactive course with updated materials, VCA exam simulations, support from certified instructors, and face-to-face exam format. All materials (computer, manuals, guides) are provided.
How long does the course last?
Both VCA Basic and VOL-VCA training last 1 day each, including course preparation and the official exam.
What languages are available?
We offer the course primarily in Spanish and Portuguese. Please contact us to ask about availability in other languages.
How much does the VCA course and exam cost?
Costs vary according to the level (VCA Basic or VOL VCA) and group size. Contact us for a personalised quote for individuals or companies.
